Drivers Support in Windows Vista Operating System
Microsoft’s upcoming operating system, Windows Vista, will include features such as new user interface and an integrated desktop search system to better manage digital content. Go to www.microsoft.com/windowsvista for more information on Microsoft Windows Vista.

Check the attached list here to find out the support status for your specific model. There are 2 types of drivers, one that is in-built in Windows Vista and the other can be used by installing the Windows Vista-compatible driver that is being distributed. The distribution will be posted on at our Support and Download page from time-to-time.
Compact Digital Cameras*
Camera models in the attached list can be used with Windows Vista as is. Windows Vista-compatible applications will be distributed. The distribution time frame will be posted on the Canon Web site.

Compact Photo Printers
Windows Vista-compatible applications and drivers will be distributed. Models in the attached list (see the attached list of models supported) can be used with Windows Vista by installing the drivers. The distribution time frame will be posted on the Canon Web site.
Digital SLR Cameras*
There are 2 types of cameras, one can be used with Windows Vista as is, and the other can be used by installing the driver designed for Windows Vista. (See the attached list of models supported) Windows Vista-compatible applications and drivers will be distributed. The distribution time frame will be posted on the Canon Web site.

Digital Video Cameras
Digital video cameras that connect with USB/IEEE1394 interfaces in the attached list (see the list of models supported) can be connected to Window Vista as is. Windows Vista-compatible applications will be distributed. The distribution time frame will be posted on the Canon Web site. (How to handle part of application is not yet determined.)
Copiers Check the attached list here to find out the support status for your specific model. There are 2 types of drivers, one that is in-built in Windows Vista and the other can be used by installing the Windows Vista-compatible driver that is being distributed. The distribution will be posted on at our Support and Download page from time-to-time. (Note that the driver distributed is meant for Vista 32-bits version)
Projectors The operation check for projector application on PC running Windows Vista is currently underway. We will let you know the results as soon as we know them.
Network Cameras With Vista and IE 7.0 used together, there is no problem with the camera setting screen and Java viewer. It is possible to use the bundled software with some limitations. We will let you know our Vista support plans separately.
Recording Software The recording software cannot be installed on PCs running Windows Vista.
The Vk1.3 Vista support plan will be conveyed separately.
 
* If you have PC running Windows Vista, image EXIF information may not be displayed correctly in ZoomBrower EX or Digital Photo Professional in the following situations:
Images are imported to the PC using the Photo Acquisition Wizard
Images are rotated using Windows Explorer or Windows Photo Gallery
Images properties are edited using Windows Explorer or Windows Photo
Gallery
