EOS Utility is an application that brings together all of the functions required to communicate with the camera. Functions for downloading and displaying images, remote shooting, and camera control of each setting when an EOS DIGITAL camera is connected to a computer have been integrated.
Changes for EOS Utility 2.14.20a Updater for Windows :
- Supports EF35mm f/1.4L II USM, EF50mm f/1.8 STM.
To use this software, your computer has to meet the following system requirements.
1. Supported OSes
- Windows 8.1 (All 32-bit/64-bit systems)
- Windows 8 (All 32-bit/64-bit systems)
- Windows 7 (All 32-bit/64-bit systems expect for Starter Edition)
*Can also be used with Windows 10 (desktop mode only).
2. Supported Computers
PCs with one of the supported OSes above preinstalled, that have USB ports as standard equipment. (Operation is not guaranteed on machines that have been upgraded.)
The .NET Framework 3.0 or later is required. *
*: Microsoft's .NET Framework will be installed along with EOS Utility.
CPU;
- Pentium 1.3GHz or faster
RAM;
- 1 GB or greater
- 2 GB or greater (Windows 8.1 64-bit / Windows 8 64-bit / Windows 7 64-bit)
3. Target Applications
Make sure that at least one of the following applications is installed.
- EOS Utility
- EOS Viewer Utility
- File Viewer Utility
- Camera Window DSLR
4. Display
- Screen Resolution; 1,024x768 pixels or more
- Screen colors; Medium (16-bit) or more

EOS Utility 2.14.20a Updater for Windows is an update program for EOS Utility and can be used only when:
- Your PC has a previous version of the software installed.
OR
- Your PC has the CD-ROM inserted and recognizes a previous version of the software contained on the CD.
- When used with the EOS-1D X, the My Menu settings function is unavailable.
Please use the camera's menu for the My Menu settings function.
- If you are using Windows Vista, Windows XP, use [EOS Utility 2.14.1].
Please refer to the instructions below on how to download and install the software.
Exit all other applications when installing this software.
1. Make sure that at least one of the following applications is installed.
- EOS Utility
- EOS Viewer Utility
- File Viewer Utility
- Camera Window DSLR
2. Download "euw2.14.20a-updater.zip" from the download page. Save the "euw2.14.20a-updater.zip" file to a folder of your choice on your computer.
3. When the "euw2.14.20a-updater.zip" folder saved to the computer is extracted, the "euw2.14.20a-updater" will be generated, so double-click "euw2.14.20a-updater.exe" in the extracted folder. Installation for EOS Utility will begin. (If the User Account Control window appears, follow the on-screen instructions to proceed.)
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
5. After the installation is complete, the EOS Utility installer may ask to restart the computer. In this case, restart the computer. If the installation finished properly, the downloaded file and the "euw2.14.20a-updater" will no longer be necessary.
